About the DCP

The Durban Centre for Photography (DCP) serves as a space for photographic collective learning, where professional photographers mentor from behind their work.  Peter McKenzie, an internationally renowned photographer and facilitator, coordinates the project which has realized a diversity of exhibitions, training and workshop opportunities.

The facility hosts a pilot workshop, run over two months with a month long practical component as well as forming a collective of photographers who embark on a wide range of photo-based projects. In it's short time the DCP has seen photographers showcase their work both locally and internationally.
